Originating as a research project at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) with the goal of creating a better alternative to fibreglass casts, Castomize spun-off from SUTD in 2022 after gaining early traction with its 4D printed casts.
Now, Castomize is rapidly scaling its positive impact across multiple healthcare fields, including orthopaedics, physical therapy, and prosthetics, with our expertise in advanced manufacturing.
Abel holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Singapore Management University (SMU). His business background includes roles as a business development manager at a software company and as the founder of two social ventures, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to innovative solutions. His leadership at Castomize is distinguished by a focus on customer-centric, sustainable medical technologies that enhance patient recovery and comfort.
Johannes is a former researcher at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), where he specialized in mechanical engineering. He also holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from SUTD. His expertise is complemented by his role at Meka3DP, where he applied his engineering skills to develop advanced 3D printing technologies. His background combines rigorous academic research with practical, hands-on experience in engineering and product development.
Eleora earned her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and holds a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). Her role is marked by her successful collaborations with local hospitals, where she has applied her expertise to bridge the gap between engineering solutions and clinical applications. Her leadership at Castomize is defined by her commitment to innovation and operational excellence, driving the company's mission to revolutionize medical casting with technology-driven solutions.
